PHARMASOFT MEETING ALL OF YOUR PHARMACEUTICAL REQUIREMENTS

PharmaSoft was the first Pharmaceutical Dispensing Software developed in South Africa. PharmaSoft was developed by a pharmacist in 1979. Mr Tinus Joubert was a newly qualified pharmacist when he bought his first Commodore and started to teach himself to develop software. He then programmed a very basic dispensing software on a "Floppy Drive" for his own pharmacy to capture patient information and scripts. He then continued to develop a pharmaceutical dispensing system and in the early 80's he managed to launch his first fully developed program and commenced selling the software to pharmacists. Mr. Tinus Joubert received the award as the Pharmacist of the year by the Pharmacy Management of South Africa in 1983. PharmaSoft was revolutionary for South African Pharmacists in the 1980’s. At present he still has a successful business, has obtained a Pharmaceutical Master’s degree, was a member of the South African Pharmacy counsel, Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa, and still has a valid dispensing license.
